How to Use This Tool

1

Select Content Type

Choose what type of QR code you want to create: URL for websites, Text for plain messages, WiFi for network credentials, Email for pre-composed messages, or Phone for click-to-call functionality.

2

Enter Your Content

Fill in the required information for your selected content type. For URLs, paste the full web address. For WiFi, enter the network name, password, and security type.

Common Use Cases

Marketing and Advertising

Add QR codes to print ads, billboards, flyers, and brochures to drive traffic to your website, landing pages, or special offers.

Example: Scan to get 20% off your first order

Restaurant Menus

Create touchless digital menus that customers can access by scanning a QR code at their table. Update menu items instantly without reprinting.

Example: WiFi QR code + Menu URL QR code on table tents

Business Cards and Networking

Include a QR code on business cards that links to your LinkedIn profile, portfolio website, or digital business card with full contact details.

Example: vCard QR linking to complete contact information

Event Check-in and Tickets

Generate unique QR codes for event tickets, conference badges, or venue access. Scan for quick check-in and attendance tracking.

Example: Event registration confirmation with scannable ticket

Best Practices

Test your QR code before printing

Always scan your QR code with multiple devices and apps to ensure it works correctly. Test in different lighting conditions if it will be used outdoors.

Use appropriate error correction

For print materials that might get damaged, use higher error correction (Q or H). For digital use where the code will stay pristine, lower levels (L or M) work fine.

Ensure adequate contrast

QR codes need good contrast between foreground and background colors to scan reliably. Dark on light works best. Avoid low-contrast color combinations.

Size matters for scanning distance

The scanning distance is roughly 10 times the QR code width. A 1-inch code scans from about 10 inches away. Make codes larger for billboards or posters.

Use URL shorteners for cleaner codes

Longer URLs create more complex QR codes. Use URL shorteners for long links to create simpler, more reliable codes that scan faster.
